Happy New Year!!
This year has flown by. I can't believe we are here, celebrating the old and bringing in the new. DH and I have our honeymoon planned for January 9th - 13th. It's also his 30th birthday! We are planning on going to Savannah, Ga. No real reason as to why we picked there...just someplace to go that we've never been to. That week, I will not be online, and I will not be blogging. (As part of the list)

50 questions blog #44
When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?
I've thought a LOT about this one....one risk that I'm calculating is having a baby. I know, financially, we'll never be ready. There are goals, I want to have before we try, and if we have those goals completed, then I would be happy and just accept the risk and then enjoy the rewards. I don't want to be one of those couples that just sit back and let the government take care of it. It's not responsible.

Christmas Pictures!!
I use Shutterfly for all my pictures and this year, we decided to use them for Christmas cards! I can't wait to see what they look like when we get them. I have used Shutterfly in the past and really love how easy it is. I have used them for personal gifts as well as for private use.
Doesn't hurt that you can also get 50 free Christmas cards too!!! Check here to get yours too. You have to register by December 10th!
As you can see, I like the modern, clean look. And Shutterfly has so many options to choose from. Whether you are looking for something more contemporary or something chic, they have it all.
But...I like the idea of using the flat photo cards. It's simple and to the point.
And I'll admit, I'm lazy. I really don't want to sign each and every card we have to send out. We can choose a picture we like, and find a really nice layout and viola! Instant Christmas card!
Not only is Shutterfly easy to use, they are easy on the wallet. I can't even imagine what it would cost to go have pictures done, have the developed, and then pick out a design, wait for them to come in the mail.....you are probably talking a few hundred dollars. Where Shutterfly is only a few dollars. Makes sense to me!

Fight for Preemies
I know of 2 preemies. One is my step-daughter K-bug and one is my dearest friend Twinkle Toes
(Let me preface that I was not there when K was born. So this is all hearsay of what I was told.)
K was born 3 months premature. Her mom had complications from her pregnancy, obviously, but had no idea about it until it was almost too late. Her cervix had dilated before it was time. The dr's had put her, basically, upside down to help with the gravity to keep K in longer, so that her lungs could develop more. I don't know the events leading up to that point, but Snuggles was there the entire time. So k-bugs mom, K, had k-bug vaginally and they took k-bug to the NICU. There she lived for 3 months and, thankfully, had no real problems. (other than the lungs being under developed.) I see pictures of her all the time when she was really little and it's amazing that the dr's have all these medical advances. To date, k-bug is a normal, happy and healthy 6 yr old and you would never know she was a preemie.
I'm not going to speak for little miss twinkle toes, so you'll have to go over there and check it out for yourself!

And this is a check off my 100 in 1001 days!
Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?
I am making all my decisions for myself. Yes, I am married, yes I have my parents and my family, but this is my life and I'm gonna make it about me (and them)

Day Zero
So I was catching up on my blogs that I follow and one of them is the wonderful Mrs. Emmypants. Because she is so cool, I decided to do the same thing as her and do the Day zero project. It's pretty interesting. A bucket list so to speak. Maybe you can create one too???

50 questions blog
In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that?
I like to think that I would be able to remember. But that is life. Hopefully by then I'll have my kids and then I'll have a planner that will keep me remembering what happened.

Hello again...
Whoa...its been a while since I posted. Lets see.....I quit Massage Envy. Simply because management was a real pain in the ass and wanted ppl to work for basically nothing. It's hard when you are a therapist working your ass off and injuring your self when you can't even get a massage yourself. So I left there. I am know working at Jenny Craig. I love it! There is a girl who is pregnant, so I'll be taking over her book when she leaves. I am a consultant there and help guide ppl in their weight loss journey. I'll be making more money there then I would have at Massage Envy. Granted I worked less hours there, but it was really strenuous work.
In my weight loss news, I have lost 45 lbs. I have another 25 to go and I'm really hoping that I can do it before Thanksgiving. I mean, I know I can...I just need to do it. Plus I have other motivations too....we are having a Halloween party and we are going to my brothers for Thanksgiving. So I have lots of motivators to get there...I just need to do it.
I have...to date....paid off 2 out of my 4 credit card bills. My goal was to pay off all my debt by the end of the year. I am going to do that too. I want to really start TTC come January. I have 3 other bills I need to pay off as well...so really there should be no reason why I can't do that as well =) Since I work at JC, I have insurance now! So....after we get all the bills paid off, we wanna have a little bit in savings...I would like a couple grand, but we'll see. I'm going to start charting again...once I get a more secure schedule. It's been so off and on, so I want to make sure I have that set before I start charting. The funny thing is, since I lost all that weight, my periods are more regular now then they were before. Hmmmm, not sure what that means.
I will try to update more often.

Catching up
Sorry it's been a while since I last updated. I'm down 41.6 lbs. I still have been expericencing the nausea. It is now accompanied by hot flashes and dizzy spells. Very weird. I go in on Friday for another weigh in. It's starting to feel more real. Yea, I know that sounds weird, but when you've been overweight for a long time, and you start feeling more bones sticking out that you've never had before, it takes you back. I'm in between sizes too. 14 are way to big and 12 are just right. 10 is almost impossible, but I know with a another month I'll be there.

Memorial Weekend
So I didn't get to my 15 lbs that I wanted to lose before Memorial Weekend, but I got 8. So I'm at a total lost of 38 lbs. I ate lots of food that I wasn't supposed to have because everyone else was snacking. I know now that I have to prepare for that for the next time.
Something new I have been experiencing this month is nausea. I'm not sure why. Its at least once a day. Very weird.

Checkin in
So far I'm still at 30 lbs. I go in tomorrow, but today is my birthday and we are going out Friday for my birthday because I have to work today. And its Sunfest this week too. sunfest.com Its really cool and a lot of walking. We'll see what happens. I would be happy if I stayed where I'm at. And then start back at it the following week. We are going away for Memorial Day so I need to lose another 15-25 before then...so that I really look good :)

Weekly Weighin
Mom and I had to move our appointment to later so, hence the reason why I'm updating now.
Up 4 oz.
Could have been worse....like a lot worse. But I'll take that. Kinda comforting that when I do go up, its only ounces.
The weekend of the 17th will be challenging. My grandparents, brother and his family, Kaylee and Ryan and I are going to be at my parents house for a birthday weekend. That means lots of food. Ugh. Oh well....gotta have some cheat days right?

Easter food!
This was the first year that I've hosted dinner at our house for Easter dinner. I thought it would be nice to have the family over and just sit around and talk and catch up. So I had the whole week to plan dinner and it worked out perfectly!
We had:
Fresh salad with all the fixings
The classic Honey Baked ham
The classic green bean casserole (I used cream of celery bc my mom doesn't like mushrooms)
Home made scalloped potatoes (which were sooooo good!)
Home made mac and cheese
and for dessert.....home made angel food cake with a glaze and fresh strawberries
It was alll soooo goood! And everything came out perfect. I couldn't have planned it any better.
We'll see how my weigh in goes. AF is here and man, she's here with a vengence! I'm not really worried too much. I didn't eat a whole lot of food but one never knows. If I go up, lets say.....3 lbs, it will be worth it. If I go up anymore, well, then oh well. I've come this far with great results. Its ok to have a cheat day....or week.

And the magic number is......
9.8 lbs gone! Wooo hoo!!!!
::looks up::
That feels sooo good. And it wasn't easy either.
Now, I can add veggies, low carb ones, and some fruit. Friday is going to be hard though, my mom and some of her co-workers and her boss, are going to celebrate their birthdays. So that means drinking. :S We'll see how it goes.

I'm going for change
And with the help of Medi Weightloss. Its a 500 calorie, only protein diet that is under the supervision of a medical doctor. Its expensive, but I want this so badly. And as much as I don't want to annouce this....I need to.
Starting weight = 205
::looks up::
Yep, that's right.
I've lost 15 on my own with the Wii fit. But I need this weightloss to help jumpstart my metabolism.
So, my goal is 60 lbs. The dr thinks I can do this in 4 months. And thats balls to the wall following this program. It's going to be hard, but I know once I see the numbers coming down....it'll be so worth it.
Every week I'll go in for a weigh in, get my B vitamin shot and go from there. Enjoy my 500 calories....should be lots of fun (not) but I know this will work.
Wish me luck!

Busy Bee
That's what I've been doing. Working almost non stop, at least it feels that way. Since the lead therapist stuff happened I've been going 10 hr days, trying to get things organized. I'm hoping I'll get this all done with soon so I can enjoy my work again. We had little Miss Kaylee last weekend. We did Christmas/birthday. We got her a big girl bike and told her that Santa brought it to us to give to her and her face was priceless! She got on it and went around the house and then we went outside. She fell once and then got right back on.
And then it was Ryan's birthday. One more year and he's 30! Kaylee helped me make it and then put sprinkles on it. It was very tastey!

And....Kaylee played the drums, ha ha. She really enjoyed that and is now asking for a drum set.
