What a week. First time in 4 months I worked a full work week. Definitely a different change. I was beginning to think they didn't like me because all week long they (the 4 mangers and the accountant) were in meetings with each other all day long. They would bounce back and forth between offices and then go to lunch together....nevermind that they all came in at 10:30-11 and then left for lunch at noon and back around 1:30. But after all that, the accountant said she was leaving, she had a baby 6 weeks ago and doesn't feel that she can work and take care of the baby at the same time. Then I was thinking, they might let me go because I was the last one hired. So at 4:30 the owner called me in his office and I started to worry, only for him to tell me that they were downsizing part of the company and that they want me to stay. So I was happy about that. There are 4 other girls that were afraid they might lose their jobs, but they are ok too. They are only getting rid of the sales people and keeping the rest. Will probably downsize to a smaller office and go from there. Keep your fingers crossed. Hopefully things will continue to get better.

Also, with the job, found out that they don't have group insurance, instead there is a guy who comes in and you pick what you want and he gives you a price on it. I was a little mislead about that, but the owner said they 'may' get group in a few months. Who knows, and who knows if I'm going to still be there. Depends on what happens with this downsizing.

DH is out of town this weekend. He was out all week. Up in St Louis at the Ritz Carlton to upgrade their phone system. Once he gets back, he won't have a steady job anymore. Hopefully he can find something soon thats more reliable. At this rate, we'll never move to Central Fl. So while hes gone, I'm pressure cleaning the apartments...should be fun with all the rain we had today.

What a busy weekend

Started off Saturday trimming the hedges and running errans after that. Then today, we mowed, weedeated, and sprayed roundup for weeds. Trying to get most of the 'man stuff' done because Hubbs is going out of town for a week =(. He leaves Tues and comes back Mon. Not looking forward to a whole week with out my hubbs. Next weekend I'm going to be pressure washing the drive ways and side walks. Should be interesting. Tomorrow is my dads birthday. I think we are doing burgers on the grill. Something easy and cheap. Money is hard these days, even though I have a job now, I don't get paid until 2 more weeks. Ugh, and I won't get unemployment next week, because I worked 3 days of the week that I would be claiming. So no more 'free' money. I hope these 3 months go by quickly so that we can start planning our family.

Our relaxing weekend

We left Friday afternoon to head over to the West Coast of FL, to Englewood Beach. We love it there. Got married there. Will retire there....one day ::sigh:: The weather was perfect, the water was a nice 88 degrees, couldn't get any better. Spent all day Saturday shelling and lounging in the water. Sunday did the same until noon. Oh well. At least we had some good quality time together.

Beach weekend

I miss the beach. I feel like that is my second home. I hope to have a home on the beach. We are just going for the weekend, but it will be nice to get away. We are going with his MIL which is fine by me. We get along so it'll be nice.

Got another interview today. Its for a receptionist at some Home Savers place. I got the impression its for ppl who have a hard time paying their mortgage and they somehow shrink it? I dunno, we'll see. If I don't get this one, I'm going to some temp agencys. Happy Friday!!!

Family time

So let me start off saying that this may be a little long, but I need to get it all out.

I got married in May 2008, my g-pa and g-ma funeral service was in Oct 2008 and I just talked with my brother and his wife on 4th of July. I have not spokend with then since May 2008...because apparently I said something that set them both off.

Lets go to before the wedding, I has asked my brothers wife (we'll call her T and him J) to do my make up and hair for my big day. She told me that she didn't know until we got closer to the date, ok, I can see that. Never heard anything from her so I took it as she didn't want to do it. In hindsight I should have called her to follow up but I was running around with my head cut off trying to get our wedding perfect. I made a hair appointment and had the lady do my make up, no biggie. What really pissed me off is I didn't even get a card from them. Not that I was expecting any kind of gift, but not even a card? And they left the next morning without coming by for the brunch that they knew about...ok, fine. Whatever. I understand they have a little one that her mom is watching, but you could have spent 20 mintues there and I would have been happy.

So we fast forward to Oct....My g-pa was a war veteran, I think for the Vietnam War and I really couldn't tell you what he did because it was never discussed. Anywho, the city built this really nice veterans memorial garden and my dad thought it would be a good idea to do a service for them, since they are sitting under my parents bed collecting dust, so why not do a service for them. T and J came down and brought my nephew, L. (L is now 2 years old....we were not invited to his 1st birthday because they didn't have one and his 2nd birthday was a last minute thing) get done with the service and go get lunch, come back to my parents house and spent 2 hours with them. They left and we went about our day.

Fast forward to Feb 2009, my parents have season tickets to the Nascar race and go every year, sicne J and T live in Ocala and Daytona really isn't that far, they met up and had dinner. Now meanwhile, we have not heard from them, no phone calls, no cards or pictures (other than Christmas) nothing at all from them and they (my parents) were trying to figure out what was going on. No one wanted to talk and they (everyone) avoided the subject.

May comes, J calls and wishes mom happy mothers day.....June comes and dad didn't get a phone call for fathers day.

Here we are in July.....and the whole family came down. Apparently, J was the one not wanting to talk with his family and T was pushing him. I can see that. J is stubborn like me =) We get all the air cleaned and get everything off our chests and all it was, was miscommunication. From the accidental gift not being in the box for Christmas to stupid myspace comment that wasn't directed towards her. This went on and off for 2 years! I hope this never happens again because I love J and T and L!!! And I wanna be able to call them up and see them and talk to my nephew.

Friends may come and go, but family is always there.

Its Hump day

And thats not what I'll be doing. Stupid AF and her spotting, GO AWAY!!!! I never used to be like this, before BCPs I was 7 days and then on them I was 3-4 days. I wanna go back to my 3-4 days!! This sucks. DH thinks my plumbing is broken and won't come near me.

On a side note, not related, I got some new dog food for Bailey, its from Rachael Ray called Nutrish. I got the beef flavor and she actually gets excited to eat again. It was like a chore to get her to eat anything. So no more Beneful. It's only been 2 feedings and I can tell she really likes it.

What an awesome weekend

Drove up to Lakeland on Friday night. Got up early on Saturday to drive to Tampa to get K. Got there at 9 am and were so excited to see her. Its like everytime we see her she gets older. Drove back to Lakeland and headed to the museum. Its pretty cool, they have a little grocery store, a post office, a tv station, a space staion....all for the kids to play with and interact with. After that we went to the park and she played, had lunch and it was nap time. Went back to the house and did some paints and coloring and then made dinner. Got up the next morning and went to Steak and Shake, which we always do with her. Then we went to another park that had like 6 jungle gyms for her to play on and a butterfly garden. It was soo pretty! After that we hit the pool, got her lunch and then headed back to Tampa. She was out like a light. It was a good trip and the more we are with her, the more she doesn't wanna go back to mommy. I think thats great
